Jayde Powell
Jayde was a 2016 graduate from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy, choosing occupational therapy after becoming passionate to help people achieve their best in life. Following university, Jayde has worked at West Coast Occupational Therapy gaining experience in soft tissue therapy, injury prevention and injury management. Jayde is a compassionate occupational therapist with a strong desire to get people back to whatever they wish to do.
Jayde’s experience in training and competing at high levels of sport, including dance and netball, has developed her interest in soft tissue therapy after learning the benefits of manual therapy first hand. She has an underlying passion for optimising a person’s health and performance, in both developing and senior athletes to ensure they are achieving their best for as long as possible.
In addition to treating adults and sporting injuries, Jayde has a passion for treating kids and young adults as it allows her to be creative in educating on exercises, injury management and prevention.
Jayde has qualifications in dry needling, sports training, Chapmans reflex therapy, taping and Pilates mat work and reformer.
Her areas of special interest are shoulder injuries, neck tension, headaches and migraines.
Jayde is excellent at building positive relationships with clients to help them achieve optimal health and wellbeing.
