Rebecca Eley

Rebecca graduated from Edith Cowan University and perused her career in OT working in the public hospital system before moving to paediatrics.

She has always had a passion for working in paediatrics and has been running a small private practice servicing local schools since 2013.

Rebecca is interested in ongoing professional development, and recently she has completed a Sensory Processing Disorder Level 1 Intensive Mentorship Program, at the STAR Institute in Denver, Colorado, USA. The training she underwent there provided her with an in depth knowledge of sensory processing disorder (SPD) and current treatment methods. It was while attending the training that Rebecca was fortunate enough to meet Dr Lucy Jane Miller who has been a key contributor to paediatric occupational therapy worldwide, particularly with research into sensory processing development.

Rebecca has also attend a number of additional training sessions overseas, including an American OT Association Conference in 2017, and Learning without Tears course in Alberta, Canada, alongside courses and presentation here in Australia. She is looking forward to furthering her knowledge and education in current therapy modalities and specialist areas.

Rebecca is excited to be a part of the West Coast Occupational Therapy team and help grow the paediatrics area of the practice.
